I remember Ati mentioning they can do physics way back at the x1800xt launch in October, so this is nothing new to me. But let's see either Nv or Ati apply their physics processing to some actual games and then I'll be more interested.

It was a given that ATI would come up with something. To be honest, I don't care about any of them untill I see working hardware and prices. There is a HUGE gulf between saying "we can do that" and having something that really works and is worth the upgrade cost.

Ageia cards will come out in May.
I cant wait for some good benches and if ATI has an ace in the hole, well, fine.

I think thats pretty true, and ive posted just a minute ago the PPU in action in a game thats coming out pretty soon and it looks quite amazing, well the physics part of it.

I would actually buy one if given the chance, and i probably would.

One thing tho is that this will go into pretty much any game after UT2007 as because Ageia will have its PhysX software in the UE3 dev kits, and there happens to be about 30 games that have been announced already that are using UE3. And about 20 publishers and devs already saying they are using it for many games to come.
