ATI RMA

I'm trying to replace an old all in wonder radeon, I got a response that said there are none in stock and I'd be placed on a list unless I wanted to just send the card in. What are the odds that something this old would get anything for replacements?

ATI directly using an advance RMA, the email basically dosen't give any clue as to how long it'd take.

The replacement item is currently out of stock. At this time we do not have an exact date for when this item will be back in stock. We will keep your RMA request on file and process it in the order it was received once we receive stock of this item. An RMA confirmation email will be sent once the RMA has been processed.

I think most manufacturers (well gainward offered to repair my ti4200 after a year) would probably repair the card and send it back. If they are nice, they'll send you a newer card but these days the chances of that happening is small. A replacement? I doubt it...

I opted for the advance replacement since that would mean no downtime other than swapping the card.

If I were to send it in for repair, I'd be without my main system for however long it took.
