Cool. Thanks for the heads-up man, you're really helpful with the video stuff :)

Do you know if they added 640x480 tv viewing capabilities?

<edit: nevermind, it doesn't...surprise surprise. what a nice smooth driver installation tho>

It's in the recording options. The only modes ati supports are the 640x240 et al. If you want 640x480 tv, check out dscaler, it's great.

Recording and displaying are 2 different things. I knew MMC 7.1 wouldn't allow 480 line capture, but you could work around that. I wasn't aware that the overlay for the TV application only displayed a single field though.

I've tried to stay away from the TV Wonder line of cards myself...I may try one the new TV Wonder pros one of these days to try out multi-view though.

from a visual quality point of view -
the image that dscaler gives you is still superior to these ati drivers -
for regular viewing - not worth it
for some of the other features - depends on your needs.

i've got both, but use dscaler for casual tv viewing

Finally, sh*t, as I was reading that I was happy and then my neighbor's car horn went off like crazy with my two open windows. Agh, it scared the hell outta me.
