On Orders from microsoft ATI does not include support for VfW even though they can.
Imagine that' a $385Cdn capture card, apparently state of the *cough* art capture card but ATI refuses to support VfW. So in other words Windows Media Encorder, ANY webcam, VirtualDub or any 3rd party capture programs won't work unless it supports Ms-DirectShow. M$ dictates to others to not include VfW but EVEN M$ can't make software with directshow support.
Microsoft thought that their dictatorship rule for only supporting DirectShow would be included in all capture cards by now but the only companie to follow this braindead approach are the dumbasses at ATI. Now M$ got screwed because if they were to release NetMeeting 4 or Windows Media Encoder 8 with directshow only NO-ONE would be able to use them except the ATI-Radeon's. They would have a million complaints the next day that the software doesn't work and would be the laughing stock of software companies, but they are smater than that and are not releasing them, if they DO they will have to release VfW support which is contrary to their own orders to video capturing software companies. ATI has been left holding the bag and they are now the Fools of the Video card industry of this braindead rule from M$. When will ATI wake up and include support for VfW or do they have to follow 3DFX and doom themselves with this idiot approach.
