In case GTA missed it. ;)

ATI readies PCI-Express versions of X800 Pro, XT
DUTCH MAGAZINE Hardware Info has seen ATI roadmaps which show the extent to which the Canadian firm is pushing PCI Express.
According to roadmaps they've seen, in June we will see X600, X600 Pro and X300SE PCI Express graphics chips.

According to Hardware Info, the R423 Pro and the R423XT will arrive in the second half of this year. These are PCI Express versions of the recently announced X800 and X800XT.

But more surprisingly, at the end of the year, there's another shocker which naturally starts with the letter R. What is it? You can find out by going here.

r480, uh. PCI-E only!

The graphics wars are heating up.

Will this have PS3.0 Support? What are the difference between this and the current X800 besides PCI-Express?

don't think it will... looking @ previous generations of cards, there model no. seems to show it as a further refresh of the R42x architecture.

it's obviously a much more refined version of r420 much as the 9800 is to the 9700 . . . more extensions, probably better yields and o/c'ing core and memory (compared w/r420).

What is different between the r420-AGP from the PCI-e is the r423.

no doubt there will (also) be an NV45 . . .
