ATI Rage Fury Pro vs. Viper v770

Trying to decide which of these older video cards to run in my 2nd machine

ATI Rage Fury Pro - 32m

or

Diamond Viper v770 Riva TNT2 - 32m

anyone have any thoughts..?

I would give that contest to the Viper hands down.
I used to have one and loved it. ATI cards IMHO have
always sucked until the Radeon hit.

The Viper may be faster in 3d performance, but the ATI has the better image quality and DVD playback(if you are using a DVD drive).

The Fury will probably be faster but nVidia's drivers will probably be better.

TNT2s have notoriously bad 2D quality, so if you have a large monitor that should be out. I'm amusing you don't want to game on it, although the benchmarks are around 5fps in favor of the tnt2.

Rage128 drivers are like a rock, I've installed many 128 and 128 pros without any issue.

nah.. no games.. and it is only a 17" monitor..

It is on my second system, and I had both of them laying here, and I was just wondering which is the better of the two..
I guess I will go with the ATI, for 2d & dvd sake.
