I gave my Rage Fury Maxx to my brother; when I upgrade my graphics card early next year, I was going to take back the Maxx and install my Radeon 8500 in his family's computer. I was hoping to try to experiment with the Maxx in my Pentium 4 based computer (I know it's supposed to not work with the P4 due to AGP voltage issues, but I'm hoping my SiS chipsetted motherboard allows the Maxx to run in AGPx2 mode), and see what a Maxx with a P4 @ around 2.3Ghz or higher would score in 3DMark99, 2000, and 2001.
Looking at the 3DMark2001 scores in the MadOnion ORB (in 2001 the Maxx is just listed as a Rage 128 Pro) and comparing scores with similar fill rates, it looks like the Maxx is still scaling up past 1.8 Ghz with the Athlons. At 1255mhz a guy's getting 2152 marks; at 1467mhz it's getting 2273 marks; at 1575mhz it's getting 2448 marks; and at 1870mhz it's getting 2726 marks. Sure they're low scores (my P3 700@980 and 32mb Radeon LE@200/200 was scoring over 3200 marks), but it still hasn't peaked. Judging by the fill rates, those Maxx scores appear to be stock clocked as well.
At that rate it should be in the 4000 mark range with an AthlonXP 4000+
