ATI Radeon XP Driver Stability: Stop Error Screens

Has anyone else had much problems w/ these? After I bought a Radeon 8500 (64MB), I've started getting Stop: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL errors in WinXP, which hasn't happened before. According to the Microsoft KB, this is most likely due to incompatible 3rd party drivers.

If anyone has any suggestions or comments, please post.

Download latest drivers from ATI or rage3d.

Remove old drivers (including those from the card previous to the R8500).

Reboot.

Install new drivers.

Eh, I've tried that...I update my video drivers just about everytime ATI releases one. Hasn't helped. And there isn't any sort of pattern behind these errors...they just happen randomly.
