ATI Radeon X800XT AIW?

Hello all. This may sound like a ridiculous question to a lot of you.

I'm just wondering if the X800XT has a PE and an AIW version of the card?

Also, i currently have an ATI X800 PRO. Would the X800XT AIW be an upgrade for me? I know the AIW's are for multimedia, but would it play top of the line video games better as well or would the PRO out perform it in that category?

THANKS in advance!

The GPU performs as well as it should.
If the GPU is a X800XTPE it will perform the same regardless.
The AIW is just added video in/out features.

It should be faster than your X800Pro, but not by much.
Unless you want the video features, save your money. 5 extra FPS isnt really worth it.

I know a lot of folks will say ANY X800 has the same GPU but with different clock speeds. This is basically correct. So I would say if you want something faster than an X800 Pro, overclock it to XT levels. (If you feel confidant.)

The AIW X800XT performs just like the X800 XT. Look at any number of benchmarks over the past several months to compare X800pro to X800 XT and you'll have your answer on the gaming performance differnce in whatever game, and then decide. Obviously the AIW X800XT will outperform the X800pro in virtually every case unless the pro is moddable and overclocked.

Actually that is wrong, the x800pro has four pipelines dissabled, so you would have to overclock it really far to get it to preform as well as an xt.
