I installed it yesterday, when I restarted and it got to the logon screen, my monitor shuts off kinda. And someone already had said its because the capabilities of the graphics card exceed the capability of the monitor. I was told to change the resolution and i did and that didnt work, i was told to change the color to the lowest bit and that didnt work. Any ideas? My computer is as follows:

AMD Athlon64 3200+(NC)
Gigabyte K8NS
Corsair VS 512
160GB Hard Drive
ATI Radeon x700(GeForce 5500 was last card)
Runnin Windows XP(+SP2)

Sounds like its trying to set your moniter at a refresh rate higher then it supports ... you may need to uninstall the video driver and then make sure you have the correct inf file installed for your moniter & re-install the video driver afterwards, or you can download a 3rd-party program called "refreshlock" & set the refresh rate manually yourself. If its an LCD set all resoultions to the moniters native refresh & if its a CRT go by the specs in the manual.
Also if you didn't get every trace of the old Nvidia drivers removed before installing the ATI driver that could be causing unpredictable problems.. try running a driver-cleaning utility before you re-install the ATI driver again.
