I believe the 6600 outperforms in some categories, doesn't it?

So what's the better deal? x700 for $173 or the 6600GT for $220? What's the better bang for the buck? I'm guessing the x700 for now, until the 6600GT hits the under $200 price point.

Oops. Never mind. Misread the review from AT. Was thinking Pro when it clearly said XT.

Well, if it is a X700XT then the performance is very close to 6600gt. Now, this is a x700 pro, so it is 10~15% lower.

I would have bought this card if it was available a couple of weeks ago. I got the XFX 6600GT from monarch for $178 shipped instead.

MadCowDisease: Yeah, the 6600GT is faster than the x700 Pro. But the difference isn't huge. I would have gladly traded 256MB for the slightly slower peformance. It comes in handy at high resolution in some games.

It's nice to see a 256MB video card for this price with nice performance. I'd take this over a 6600GT for now as you get almost the same performance + or - in certain games and you get 256MB over 128MB of ram.
