I can get this card for $329.99 through ATI by being an employee where I work through their employee discount program thing.

Is this a great deal or should I worry about getting the XTX?


I have a 1680x1050 resolution. I don't really care too much about being able to play every game at MAXIMUM OVERKILL settings 😛 I probably wouldn't plan on overclocking anything because I never have.

Oh, and would my current power supply be good enough if I were to get this?
 
ya, thats sounds like a good deal. I have a 1900XT and it runs all games on my gateway 2185 perfectly, personally I would get it and run it at xtx speeds rather than worry about the actual xtx. but you said that you are prolly not going to OC, hmm oh well post back so we know what you get.

I noticed that the features of that card are different than the features that are listed on the card I got, I got the OEM powercolor 1900XT, heres a linkpwercolor OEM
and here is the link you posted yours
the differences are in the features portion of the description, does this mean that my card dont support those things?

All X1900XT/X support the same features.
 
At $329...that is a killer deal. I don't care who you are, if you're impartial you'd have to say get it.
 
Fistandantilis, you bought the open box version of the card?

Did you notice any big differences, and would you recommend it? I understand you only get the card, none of the accessories, which I could probably do without.

Anyone recommend getting the open box version of this card?
 
as long as you have a 6pin PCI-Express power cord in your PC you are fine. If not you'll proabably need to get one of those...

I doubt the card comes with one as its open box. Your PSU might have one. Mine didn't but most newer ones do.

I havent noticed any differences so far, my card is the OEM and it came with this monster bag full of patch cables for all sorts of connectivity options.
I think that it was a great deal, with the exeption of my original question in my first post this card can do what the XTX does... it also has the 1.1 ram modules and it clocks to XTX speeds flawlessly I think I have had it set to those speeds since I got it. yaya for me!

Thats' a great deal - if I were you I'd be all over that in a heartbeat. I wouldn't bother getting the XTX - the XT/XTX have the same feature set. The only differences are the core (625MHz for the XT and X1900 Crossfire Edition versus 650MHz for the XTX) and memory clock speeds (725Mhz/1.45GHz for the XT and X1900 Crossfire Edition versus 775MHz/1.55GHz for the XTX).

From what I've seen, most of the synthetic and gaming benchmark performance differences between the XT and XTX are rather small. In actual gameplay I think that you would be hard pressed to notice them at all. Save the money and get that XT deal - that is a smoker!

The reason I have an XT-X is that I was an early-adopter and I wanted a Lifetime Warranty. VisionTek had the XT-X in stock ready-to-ship early, but they only offered (and still only offer) the XT-X, so thats really the reason why I didn't go XT.

This card should come with the box and everything.


I bought my X800 XL through this same program and it came the box.

Edit, as was mentioned, every PCIe card I've seen comes with a 4-pin to 6-pin adapter. Your PSU should be adequate IMO.
 
well, I've been holding out because of not really having the money.


But check this out...it's down to 269.40!! Omg i'm so tempted to get this now. I don't really have the money now because of low hours at my part time job, but I'm starting to get a little more. My bday is coming up in July though 😀 ... *ponders*
 
Yeah, it's most likely a X1900GT at $270, which isn't near as good as a X1900XT. So I would just get the X1900XT.
