Hello, I recently aquired an Ati radeon 5770, but I can't seem to use it and I don't know the reason, my motherboard has a pci express x16 2.0 port, I don't know if is the motherboard itself or is it my power supply, the card turns on the fan spins and everything, the pc seems to boot ( I get the boot beep from the MB speaker) but if I remove my video card and use on board it shows that windows failed to start, I get no video from the gpu. I need to know if it's my motherboard is outdated or is the PSU or the card is done for, here's my system specs:

MB:Biostar a760g m2+ (info here: http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/mb/introduction.php?S_ID=394#spec )
RAM: Supertalent 4GB 1x4 DDR2 800MHz
CPU: AMD Phenom x3 8750 2.4GHz
PSU:Apparently is of a brand named Omega here's the wattage:
+3.3v:24A
+5v:26A
+12V1:14A
+12V2:15A
+5VSB:2.0A
-12v1:1.0A
the following is in the sticker in the psu
"3.3v and 5v output total 200W" "Total output:450w"
I heard you need more than 25A on 12V to use it but this PSu seems to have 2 12v
I have no other on board peripherals or hardware. Thank you in ahead and hope you can help me.

PSU does seems suspect. A good quality 450w should be enough, but many "cheap" units can't output what it advertises.

Also, did you go into the motherboard BIOS and select PCI-E as your primary display source?

Yes, a 5770 has a 6 pin plug.

OP, have you plugged in the 6 pin power connector?

There you go, you need to go into the bios and disable the on-board video.
