Both links don't work. Those two brands are good choices though. I can help you better if you can make your links work :p 5770s are not really hot anyways unless you overvolt and overclock them.

Ok that gigabyte is a reference cooler card. It should be better than the "egg" cooler most cards have these days. It also looks much better.

I have the Sapphire 5770 with the old shroud cooler.
My brother has two Sapphire 5770s with the new cooler.

The shroud is a cheap piece of junk. It's very flimsy and light (probably not much of an actual heatsink under there), and the fan is rather noisy. So it's all looks, but it doesn't compare at all to the shroud cooler on the 8800GTS I had before it.

Indeed the new cooler cools slightly better, and is no more noisy than the shroud in this case. Perhaps even less noisy, although it's not exactly whisper-silent either.

By the way two of you (jaggerwild and Dark4ng3l) said that 5770 is not a good card. So I looked at local stores here (I live outside USA) and I can also get nVidia GTS 250 (1GB) for smaller cost. Does it worth it?

the 5770 is roughly on par with the 4870 in terms of performance, but has DX11 and other features.
IIRC, the 4870 is better than the GTS 250. i'd say the 5770 is the budget card to go with these days.

Egg cooler is better than the referance cooler by 2-3*c and is quieter. The 5770 is faster than the GTX250 in 99% of benchmarks out there, it is better compared to the GTX260 216 card in terms of performance.

I never said the 5770 is a bad card... I have one and I love it. One of my friends upgraded his 4850 to an xxx edition 5770 and he is happy with it too. They are great little cards if you want low power consumption and the latest features(ie you don't want to buy last gen stuff).

Same here i have two of um if you check dat link you'd see in cross fire over clocked on an i7 system scored 28150 in 3D mark 06 not bad considering my four 4870's did just slightly better at around 30K. mine plays dirt2 and BFBC2 pretty well also............I did put a lol at the end of my last posting.

Well, it's appears that I misunderstood both of you....

Thank you all for the help. I'll take Sapphire.
