ATI/Radeon DVD Player Question

I have a Radeon 64 DDR and a ATI TV Wonder. I wanted a 64 meg card and only use the TV tuner to watch a little television while surfing. It would be nice to record a program from time to time, but I don't need all the time shifting bells and whistles on the AIW. I digress....

I have uninstalled the Multimedia Player that came with the Radeon (version 7) and reinstalled the earlier version from the latest (WinME) drivers for the TV Wonder. As per ATI's instructions.

ATI tech support addresses the fact that the Radeon Multimedia Player 7 will corrupt the TV Wonder playback (true). With no portions of the version 7 installed, everything on the TV Wonder works great. As soon as I install the DVD player from my Radeon disk, I get a partial Multimedia Center 7 install with it. Once this happens, the TV functionality is severely crippled. I can watch shows, but as soon as I select Setup, the TV tuner aborts, but the sound stays on.

ATI said I should be able to install the DVD stand-alone by running setup from the DVD directory. However, it still uses a small part of the Mutimedia Center 7.

After this long winded description, here is my question. Who makes the DVD player for ATI and can I get a stand-alone version of it that will still support the ATI DVD hardware assistance?
