ATI Radeon 9800XT 256M @ 370.00

Who needs a 256 MB vid card? Are you doing art design or video editing? Do you want to run at a 1600 rez? Then go for it, but it won't benefit you in terms of gaming. Save your money and get the 128 MB card.

Read some Benchmarks... 🙂

It won't make a difference for video editing or 2D design work, but it should help with 3D modeling/animation and future games. Of course, by then better video cards will be out and this one will be cheap enough for me to afford. 😉

This is a deal for chumps. The next gen cards will all be out in the next 1-8 weeks. Whatever they have at $400 MSRP will blow this away.
The guys who buy these will have last year's hot card for the same price as this year's hot cards.

I wish that some sites had previews of the 6800 non ultra...it's supposed to be $299, but it might be a repeat of the geforce 4 MX debacle.

Speaking of which I heard the new nVidia's are supposed to ROCK...

I've got an ATI now, but used to have all nVidia, hopefully they've upped their game a bit.

I agree that the new nVidia's look good, but I think new ATIs will make this just as much a deal for chumps. When both the new ATI and new nVidia cards are out and competing, they won't sell for higher than MSRP most likely, and whatever they have for $400 will make this card look sad.

Only people who don't have long to live should be buying this card at this price....and they should charge it!😉
