Secondly if nothing can help what Card should i buy as replacement for equal or little better performace ?
should i go for a ATI or NVIDIA ? 9800 pro or 9800 XT ? or which equvalenet or better model of NVidia like 5950 fx ?

any word of advice is appreciated.

I may not know what is the matter with your card; however, your question about what card to get SHOULD your 9800 pro cease to function is answerable. I would go for an X800 PRO or a 6800GT. The FX5950 is outdated.

dont get an FX card... but are you sure your 9800 pro is dead? - have you tried with a different card?
if it is dead, i would get a 6600gt or 6800gt in your shoes, depending on budget

disconnect the tv out and try to reseat your card in the AGP slot. . . . if still not working, best to put it into another machine to see if it is really dead.

What is the rest of your rig like?

Better performance than the 9800p? 9800xt or 6600Gt is a minimal upgrade . . . . 6800 series is better . . . . x800 or 6800GT depending on budget . . . .
