I have an ATI AIW 9600 Pro, but i am hoping to sell it, since i think i've found a pretty good deal on a 9800 Pro

I can get a brand new ATI Radeon 128 MB 9800 Pro for $300 Can, ($222.63 US), & i'm thinkin' that's a damn good deal.

What can i ask for a slightly used ATI AIW 9600 Pro?

Is it a bare OEM card or a retail card? It looks like the bare 9600 Pro cards are going for around $100-$110 (US). You should be able to get a few dollars more for a retail package. HTH.

hehe... too funny, I'm looking to do something along the same lines and also live in Canada.
PC village in Toronto is the only place I can find an ATI 9600 Pro OEM. They're selling it for $195 new.

Canada Computer in Toronto is selling the 9600 Powercolor for $139

... Powercolor reportedly is bad news so I'd be thinking $130 if it's a real ATI and you're passing the receipt on to the purchaser so that they can get the benefit of the remainder of the 3 year warranty.

Now for my question to you, do you have a friend who's selling this 9800, or is this a deal I can get as well? If it's open to all, where are you shopping, I'd love one of these.

AIW cards hold their value pretty well relative to other ATI cards. Try Ebay.

I'll give you two nefs and a vacation for a price check thread. :p

BTW, NewEgg has this deal - Sapphire 9800 Pro 128MB - for ~$220 IIRC. Open to all. :)

I'll never understand why people reply to canadian pricing questions by quoting Newegg or any other US only retailers. I know you're only trying to be helpful, but they will not sell to us Canadians so there's not really a lot of point. I think it has something to do with us burning your Whitehouse down a few years back.

LOL you Canadians always bring that up in that oh so sneaky but nice Canadian way. Never bring up the part about us torching Toronto down to the ground though. And those punks were British, not Canadian! You gave up usage to their accomplishments when you declared. ;)

heheh.... well I'm personally from England originally so :p heheh.... seriously though, it was all bad. Just cause some idiot king wanted to tax the hell out of a colony and press gang the population into the navy. Sure you raided and razed York (not Toronto). But we got you back by burning what is now your white house... and now you have the last laugh.... give us our Newegg ya busturds! ;)
