ATi Radeon 9700: custom color settings get reset after leaving 3d game

Problem: I've got a Radeon 9700 TX in a Dell 4550 and everytime I leave Quake 3 Arena, my custom desktop settings (desktop brightness and color curve) get reset to defaults. With my old ass discolored monitor, it's really noticeable and really annoying... Anyway to force these setting to apply automatically everytime when I exit the game?

I've got Rage3Dtweak installed but poking around in there didn't yield an option that covered this scenario...

Please help, thanks!
 
Interesting, will try tonight and update. The PC just got up and running and I've not had much time to get all my games installed...
 
Tried some Warcraft III and the same occurs. I exit the game and all my color customizations are back to default. It's really the fault of my old ass monitor, but with my GF4 MX, I was able to remedy the faded washed out look with adjustments that stuck. Not so anymore with this Radeon. Almost regret choosing this card now. I mean it's fast and all, but I was expecting to be able to enjoy good color depth and user friendlly contrast/brightness/color tweaks. Quite disappointed. 🙁

Anymore help would be greatly appreciated !
