ATI Radeon 9000 Pro 128MB Vs Nvidia

I'm doing some research for someone who needs a new graphics card, mostly for playing games on his XP Home machine. How would an Nvidia chipset-based card compare in 3D performance to the ATI Radeon 9000 Pro 128MB card for the same price of around $135? Anybody have an links to benchmarks comparing the 9000 Pro 128MB to some Nvidia cards? Also, how much of a difference in performance does the extra 64MB of video memory make over the 64MB 9000 Pro? Should he just stay away from that? Thanks.

This is the best overall comparison I've seen.
Of course, they have yet to update it to include the newer Radeons, but all the rest of the current and not-so-current cards are there.
