i have an ATI Radeon 8500LE (made by ATI) video card. it has a S video output , can be used for TV out. i used a s-video / scart converter.
But when i tried, it showed the content in black and white. i set the options for Turkey-PalB, installed newest version of drivers (catalyst 2.2, hydravision etc.) but it still shows black and white. can anyone help? what can be the problem? TV,Connection or Computer?

probably your TV does not support Svideo and only receives the lumina channel and not the chroma, I would suggest using the RCA output which combines both into one, older TV's can always handle this, and it's good for watching films for using it for still images however u'd better find another way...

*Take a look at Display properties>Advanced>Displays>TV Properties>Format, and make sure you have the proper format selected.
*Use the composite connector as boran suggested, s-video>SCART>TV = B&W while s-video>s-video X RCA adaptor>SCART>TV = Color.

You could also read the TVs manual on how to enable S-VHS on your EXT connection.
Most TVs doesn't do it automatically so you need to enable it in the TV to get
color from the S-Video input to the scart connector.

It gives you a better TV out to use the S-Video signal than to use composite.
