Im having a problem with my ati radeon 8500 64mb card. Whenever im playing certain games (Jedi Knight II, GTA3) I get little polygons like things on my screen. It comes out of the middle of my screen, its hard to really explain what happens. If anyone has any suggestions, please help. I tried updating my drivers, didn't help.

Un-overclock, check cooling, and try to take a digital camera picture of the problem...

Sounds like graphical distortion caused by o/cing too much or too much heat.

Im not overclocking and heat seems fine. It just started to occur i would say 2 days ago when I first installed NFL Primetime. Im going to try to take a screenshot of it.

Wow, i have never seen something like that before, its definitely not a hardware problem though, I can almost guarantee that your drivers are screwy.... what OS and what drivers are you using?

I think it's a texture problem. If I turn off compressed textures in D3D in Aliens vs Predoator 2 it corrects the problem with textures. I'd recommmend visiting Rage3D Forums for info on the 8500.

BTW im on Windows XP Home, and currently have the 6.13.10.6071 drivers. I believe these are the most up to date drivers.

I believe the problem has to do with GTA3 itself. I am experiencing similar problems myself with the textures in the game. Although not as dramatic as in those screenshots, the whole street becomes entirely transparent and the textures on buildings are not drawn correctly. I don't have Jedi Knight II so i can't comment on that.

Oh ok, aslong as im not the only one having the same problems. When do you think ATI will release drivers that will support it?
