Ati Radeon 7950 and power

Hello guys, I've recently purchased a 7950 and I didn't read the power interface like a noob. I just guessed it was going to be 6 pin molex x2. It requires a 6 pin and 8 pin molex connector. Would it be safe to use 6 pin molex and 6 pin to 8 pin molex adapter with it? Thanks!

yes use the adapter that came with it. Don't buy anything else. It will be fine.

That came with it? That's my whole point, It didn't come with it. 😛 Haha.

Opps sorry about that. I would call the card manufacturer and have them overnight or two day ship you an adapter. My MSI 7950 was a 6+8 pin and they include the 6 to 8 pin adapter in the box.

Well, MSI is 80mhz higher core clock than XFX I'm using, so I feel confident it will work for my card too. Thanks, I'll get adapter asap. 🙂
