Im ready to upgrade my video card but I dont wanna spend more than 150 really.
Which of the 2 should I buy and why?? the 7500 is about $50 cheaper also.
Thanks for all the wise info.

Geforce 3 ti 200. O/C it to ti 500 specs. Otherwise, the 7500 is a fine choice, though the drivers are a bit dated.

It goes like this.

RADEOn=last generation performance, future games will run like a dog. *Excelent* DVD playback and dual monitor. Excelent 2d. Excelent working card. Can handle any current game out there! For the "2d at heart" kinda guys who only game when they're looking for a quick fix. if you spend more than 6 hours a day under 2d, this is the card to get. Espically cuz of dual monitor.

Ti200=Better drivers. Significantly better 3d performance. No dual monitor. Average 2d. Average DVD playback. For the hardcore gamer.

the latest cards from leadteak now offer the best 2d image quality( even better than matrox g450 and certainly better than anything from ati ). So you can get better 3d performance and 2d image quality by going for the leadtek geforce 3 ti 200. Although I'm not 100 percent sure if they made those 2d image quality improvements on the geforce 3 ti200 version. I am assuming they did because in the article it says any card after geforce 3 is suppose to offer that improvment.

The rest of the world besides FiringSquad seems to disagree that the LeadTek cards come anywhere near Matrox calibar 2D. They come extremely close to ATi's 2D IMHO, the difference in favor of ATi is really only noticeable at 1600x1200.
It most definitely can't compare to the G400/G450/G550 though, hell, even now their only beginning to catch up to the 4-5yr old G200.

A link for more info.

If you're willing to spend ~150, you may want to stretch a tad further for a Radeon 8500 OEM card. The things are going for below 200 bucks now and perform great compared to the Ti500 and will smoke the Ti200.

Hmmm..I don't know about smoking a Ti200..especially considering the Ti200's overclock to at least Ti500 levels...and even beyond...

Also beware, the OEM 8500's are clocked lower than their Retail counterparts...🙂

But if he is going to overclock a ti200 then he will overclock a radeon and most if not all LE's will overclock to retail speeds and beyond 🙂
