I have a bunch of these 7000 dual display.. is there any way to run 2 seperate resolution in each screen ?

nVidia twin view has the option and Matrox G4/5xx has it also. Anyone know ?

If the older card doesn't, does the new 9700/9800 have the dual seperate resolution ?

I just installed two of these cards in two machines, and when I installed the drivers, a program called Hydra was installed that allows one to set the resolutions of the two monitors to different values. Does that answer your question?

i have hydra vision install but theres not option to set individual display.. it sees the dual monitor as 1 big virtual desktop.

Unless you're running Windows NT or 2000, the ATi cards can do separate resolutions, refresh rates, and color depths.

Those two operating systems can't do that by themselves - NT not at all, and W2K only if the displays are on separate graphics chips.

the nvidia ti 4600 works off single chip, matrox g400 works off single chip in win98se/me/nt/2000/xp

my appian cards works w/o problem either..
