ATi Radeon 64Mb DDR VIVO vs. GeForce2 Pro VIVO

That's pretty much what it comes down to for me (that's about what I have available to spend). As far as specs are concerned, (minus 16 bit performance on the Radeon) they are pretty similar. Anyone like one and not the other? Any bad experiences? Anyone just like one, and hate the other? Let me know.

Thanks

I currently have the Radeon 64 ddr vivo. I love it. All my games run great and I have had no problems with it. As for the G2, I have not used it. I don't know if that helps any, but I love my Radeon. Good luck with your decision.

The Radeon has better DVD, and significanly better 2D visual quality, the Radeon also has more features.
The GF2 Pro is faster in terms of sheer speed.

The Win2k drivers for the Radeon are also 'lacking' somewhat.

The GF2 Pro is little faster in most cases but the Radeon is more consistent with it's speed and it has much better 2D/3D quality and features like DVD. So unless you care about getting the very last frame rate I have to recommend the Radeon. Also check if you can get an SE Radeon at newegg which should be faster then the PRO.

I will chime in here..I have had the Radeon 64mg VIVO retail card for several months...works great and the drivers are stable..perfect...maybe not but what videocard drivers are..price is good on the radeon and most of the retail one now seem to have 5ns ram and are clocked faster at 198 and I have heard people o/c to 230
