ATI Radeon 64 MB DDR VIVO Retail $155 US after $30 (ATI Trade-up Program)

Most of you probably know about their trade-up program, which is send in any video card and you get a discount on their cards. Well, the Radeon 64 MB DDR VIVO is only $185 with this program, and afterwards you get a $30 rebate, so the total is $155. Plus shippping though.

Check it out. Works for Canadians too...=)

But no, I haven't tried this myself, anyone has any experience with this?

Only problem with this deal is that you have to wait 4-6 weeks for the card. At least according to their web site: Ati Trade Up FAQ
:frown:
<snip>

How long does it take to get my new card?
 • Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. The product will be shipped to you via ground courier.

Damn you guys spot these quick (not to mention memorize every single past post, especially for a "junior member"). Sorry, I searched for ATI, didn't find anything.

Good god, a whole 11 minutes...

Sorry, Hawk. I actually posted the deal originally, so that's how I knew yours was a re-post. ;)

I didn't have ATI in the thread title when you did your search. I changed it so it's there now.

This is a heck of a deal, isn't it?

BTW, I did the ATI trade-up thing a few years ago (for what it's worth) and I got the card in about a week. Can't promise that would still be the case, but...

Yeah, too bad I already have one of these cards (I was the guy selling these in For Sale a couple months back). So you can just send in a 1 MB ISA video card and they would still honor this? ;)

Linked your thread in the Video forum...

:D hello everybody! I am new to this forum, but I did see this post early and did send in for the card. They emailed me back and my card should be here in 2-4 weeks. Rebate and trade in info will be with card. Yes any video card will do for trade up. I love this site

I am really interested to hear when you get this card, b/c when I saw the 4-6 week clause on the faq, I immediately downgraded the deal in my head. If it gets there in a reasonable time - like say 2 weeks, then it is again HOT!

Are the rebated good for trade-up only? I want to buy a retail AIW Radeon and get the rebate, if possible. (For several weeks Buy.com priced these at 240(?) - 30 coupon but now it is 259 - 30.)

Got this reply from ATI. If this is public knowlwdge already, I apologize. Any hot deal on AIW Radeon from the retailers listed below?
===================================================================

>>> 1) I saw on the trade-up program order form that there are rebates available for Radeon VIVO and All-In-Wonder Radeon. Are these rebates available through trade-up program only? Are they available if I buy the product at a retail store?

There is a rebate avialable to retail store, but it is vendor specific. ATI's IT'S YOUR PAY DAY! $10/$30/$40 PC Rebate Offer is valid from January 15, 2001 to March 31, 2001.

Offer valid only at the following participating resellers: Babbages-ETC, Best Buy, Circuit City, CompUSA, Office Depot, Electronics Boutique, Fred Meyer, Computer Stop, Frys, Micro
Center, CompuCare, AAFES (Army and Air Force Exchange Service), Outpost.com, J&R Computer World, Macena Systems, United Computer Resources, Sky-Tech Computers, PC Wonder, Stone Computer, PC-911, and RCS Computer Experience in the US.

Future Shop/Computer City, Compucenter/MicroAge/CompuSmart, Business Depot/Staples, Electronics Boutique, London Drugs and MDG Computers in Canada.

10US/$10CDN
on XPERT 2000, XPERT 2000 PRO, XPERT 128, ATI-TV, ATI-TV WONDER, TV WONDER VE, TV WONDER USB, XPERT 98, XCLAIM TV,
XCLAIM TV USB only

$30US/$50CDN
on ALL-IN-WONDER Family (including the ALL-IN-WONDER RADEON), XCLAIM 3D PLUS, RADEON 64MB DDR VIVO, RADEON VE,
RADEON MAC Edition 32MB series only

$40US/$60CDN
on RAGE FURY PRO 32MB VIVO only

Please note that the rebate offer is not valid with any other resellers and exclusive to the participating vendors listed above.

>>> (2) Also, could you tell me why the All-In-Wonder is $75 more than VIVO ($260 and $185, respectively ) through the trade-up program, while the difference in Suggested Retail Prices between the two is only $30 ($329 vs. $299). In other words, the trade up saves me $69 on All-in-Wonder, while it saves me $114 on VIVO. Any explanation?

Bob this is a good question but I do not know the answer to this one

hehe, guess they would take my old 1mb isa card:

Hi,

Thanks for your interest in the Tradep Program. The current tradeup program
accepts any old detachable ATI or non-ATI graphic card for tradein, no
matter how old, what brand, retail or OEM. You could use your ISA card to
tradeup
.

Sincerely,
ATI Tradeup team

if i can find a deal for $185 for an oem card... do you think it's a better deal?
not having to wait 4-6 weeks for the card and no hassle of returning my old one.

and does anyone know if the rebates apply towards oem cards as well?

thanx

The OEM card will be clocked slower(166) compared to retail(183). Not all OEM 64mb radeons have VIVO either. Also the rebate is not valid for an OEM because the rebate is sent to you with the card.

If the 190.00 deal is a good deal and there is a rebate could someone post it for me and put a link with it. I'm not sure how to do the link thing and I'd like people to know about the deal if it belongs in this forum. Thanks...

Hmmm... the Comp*plus deal is interesting, as the OEM without VIVO, the OEM with VIVO, and retail with VIVO are all the same price ($190). Wonder if it's a pricing mistake?

Doing it this way would make it:
$190 - Radeon 64mb DDR VIVO retail
$ 15 - 2nd day air shipping (cheapest they offer)
$-30 - ATI rebate (if it comes on box, otherwise you have to contact ATI for the form)
--------------------------------------------------
$175 - Total

Five bucks more than the trade-up deal... actually, probably almost even after you pay a few bucks to ship your old ISA card to ATI. Hmmm... someone may have finally matched the trade-up deal! Nice work, XRdirtHead!

I didn't see Comp*Plus on there, so you would probably have a hard time getting the rebate to work, if at all. $205 for the card shipped is lukewarm at best.

rebthor...can u find a better deal other than the trade up one. You have to wait a month for the card on the trade up deal and who knows what kind of deal there will be in a month on the card.
