My bet is on $599 for X900XT-PE
$499 for X900XT
$399 for X900Pro
and $299 for X900

Also due to yield problems prices should remain high for a while...
High-end ones should be hard to get hold of

Here's what's going to happen -->

7xxxGTX Vs x900pro
7xxxGT vs x900
7xxx vs ???

The XT-PE and x900xt will be 500-600 + dollars in the first 6 months and will be in very limited quantities. Another E-Bay hot seller.

By the time they arrive in any quantities, Nvidia will release their 32 pipe card which will also be extremely expensive

I think +100$ for the extra memory

Absolutely no sence in XT and XT PE unless they differ in sockets.

If all are PCI-E, the XT PE won't be available at all since most ppl would rather save $ 100 on the XT.

I think 1 is AGP and the other is PCI-E.

X900 is very attractive but its going to replace X850 series so soon.

You haven't been following videocards market before?

They always release a very expensive top notch product, nad a similar but lowered clocked.

The X900 vanilla, if it is as shown, won't be, since it's 0.11.
X900 Pro could be, if it is as shown.

If it's somewhat reasonably priced, the Radeon X900 XT looks like teh winnar, as it should OC to PE levels.

Might have to be an X900Pro for me, seems like a decent middle range offering.
I wonder how they might overclock though.

I call $400 midrange too, how brainwashed are we ?

Low-k doesn't exist for 110nm, AFAIK, and those in the know are strongly hinting (OK, flat out saying) that R520 isn't 32 pipes in the conventional sense. Nor will it be 16 pipes in the conventional sense, but apparently 16 "extreme" pipes.

We've all heard this "extreme" rumor before, but apparently this time it's for real. It'd make sense if ATI and nV are stuck at 256-bit memory buses.

But then, maybe the rumors are right? So much info and disinfo floating around. :)

...that's not even cool. The x900 only has 16 pipelines???

so basically, it's just a group of overclocked x800's that add stuff like SM3, and sometimes more pipelines???

well, the high end one is good :) i like that, but you'd think the x900 is pointless....

Why the hell would it be called the x900? It's a whole new series, I really doubt that they will continue the x's. I'm so sick of morons who call it "x900" just because they can't think of what number ati will use after 10. <end rant>

Specs seem pretty likely though, my guess is the msrp's will be the same as current gen cards.

Depends on if these cards have the so-called "enhanced" pipelines, whatever that actually means. They may (or may not) perform better than a card with the same amount of pipelines.

Im pretty sure that it will have 32 pipes not just 16 'extreme' pipes. there have been many sources confering that it will have the full 32

But...but... It has SM3!! It MUST be worthy!

X800 has 12 pipes, so this is a 30% improvement. Are you talking about the "extreme" pipes rumors? Well, remember that each "pipe" should have more processing power than an X800 pipe.

Well, the 7800 also sounds like an OCed 6800 with some tweaks. What's not to like at the same price, especially if both are going to be twice as fast with shaders?

I wonder if those were all the same source(s), though. The Internet, and especially the 3D rumors biz, is a bit of an echo chamber.

The Radeon X900 XT-PE does look nice, I just hope ATi can pull it off.

Lets think of a new line of names for the cards.

lets call them Organics

or PE900

for (pipeline fury) :)
