ATI saw sales leap 40 per cent year-on-year and 23 per cent sequentially to $469.7 million during the three months to 30 November, the first quarter of its 2004 fiscal year.

I was about to pull the trigger on some ATI stock back in april when it was trading at around $5 a share (its now at about $15) but my stock broker talked me out of it . :frown:

you can gauge how well ATi is doing by being in this scene.
analysts never know a damn thing.
i was gonna plunk down cash on AMD right when the first gen athlons were released.

Agreed. Stockbrkers are too focused on spreadsheets and other crap. They generally know nothing of the tech or the meaning of the tech.

Yeah but stockbrokers know more about financials than we do. Who else but a tech geek would pay $1525 for a 3DFX 6000 card? Stockbrokers would never buy something like that. They would rather buy Enron or Worldcom stock which is worth much more.

This is good news. Healthy competition between NV and ATI is great. Now for NVidia to make similar gains and keep the back-and-forth going.
