I had the same probs. Read the link, it gets quite interesting!
PS - when shopping for a PCI card (at CompUSA) for the girlfreinds PC?
I came across a returned ATI card - the "reject" ticket read:
"Returned by buyer - defective"
That sums it up!

And where are these "26 pages" of people having "huge problems" with ATI? The thread that link goes to is 2 pages long, and seems to be people having issues with a particular motherboard.

Your story is cute, but CompUSA *generally* doesn't put "defective" items back on the shelf unless they tested it and found it to be not defective. Most likely someone just didn't like how it overclocked and took it back.
