ATI Overdrive on Sapphire 4830

I recently received my Sapphire 4830 in the mail and installed it. I used overdrive on my last card, 1800xt and had no instability at all...I also had a massive cooler on it.

With the 4830, overdrive is unstable regardless of the setting. I can push the fan to 100% and it still artifacts and sometimes conks out, even at medium to low overdrive settings. I am using the new ATI drivers 9.1, and I'm thinking of downgrading to see if it does anything.

Any suggestions? I've never seen overdrive react like this at such a low setting.
