Apparently there are some driver strings in this driver that mention ?5900?.

I really hate that ATi's not going to use the regular x2 suffix on their dual GPU cards.

Not really but it does mention hemlock right next to 5900 series in the msi file when you hex it.

Isn't hemlock the dual gpu cards?

Only makes sense in view of the 295's success. Customers correctly perceive a sandwich card as inferior to a faster single-GPU card. It makes no sense to remind customers of the value subtract inherent in your premier product by its name.

Sucks that we have to memorize which models are sandwiches vs fast single GPUs for more than one maker, but not surprising.
