If true and they get the same numbers of cards into the market as the 7800GTX 512 then I would say yes, this will match NVIDIA at the high-end or at least get much closer to make marketing look better for them, LOL.
Here comes Rollo, with an anti-ATI attack. They are desparate, they sound like dust busters already, they will melt, it won't be available blah blah blah.
Beat you to it didn't I, Rollo?

nts, looking at your sig, I see that you dislike the FX cards... Did you know that with the latest BF2 patch, they lowered all the auto settings for FX cards to "Low"? More confirmation the FX's were not good for DX.Here for link]
But on topic, this is good news, no matter how you look at it. Most people have reached 700Mhz core from what I have seen anyways. Some upwards of 725+. But getting those speeds, and a warranty is great news. ATi has always had a very strict hold on overclocking, they seem to be lifting that somewhat. Which is good, because these cards seem to reposnd well to overclocking.

Have you guys ever thought that maybe you encourage rollo's flaming by taking these jabs at him, why not leave him be, if he starts flaming unprovoked then the mods will see, cmon you guys be mature you bring alot of this flaming on yourself.
Overclocked under warranty Nvidia cards go back at least as far as Geforce3 Golden Samples from Gainward. As for ATI's Overdrive, that really isn't much to talk about. I belive my 8900xt got a whole 12mhz on the core from it and my x800xt-pe gets a massive 7mhz.Originally posted by: Lonyo
Were they not the first of ATi and nVidia to offer overclocking under warranty? (9800XT cards)
Obviously both ATi and nVidia have set clock speeds that cards are supposed to run at or around, but in terms of overclocking cards ATi IMO haven't been hugely strict when you consider they had overclocking in the XT cards.

What a comedian. Well, either you're trying to be funny or you're just stupid. So which is it?

I know. I don't understand why these people behave this way. What's to be gained by endlessly arguing over idiotic minutia, and who has the biggest e-penis? There must be some kind of gratification that takes place or some transfer of energy, otherwise no one would do it. Other people do it with cars, houses, plasma screen TVs, and honor students; geeks do it with computer hardware.

Looks like good news for XT customers. Not good enough to make me sell my SLI, but it would be good enough to get me to consider their product if I were in the market.
No comment on the childish flaming by some, I'll let our posts show who we are and what we're about.![]()
