I'm looking to buy an ATI card, but besides the actual ATI cards, which are the best makers of cards with the ATI chips. There's a ton, like Sapphire, ECS, Gigabyte, Chaintech, Abit, Asus, and lots of others but from different reviews and articles I've read there's definitely a diff between them. Which one is the best one to get?

I found an ECS radeon 9200 for about $50 and all the user reviews for it were pretty good. I'm not looking for a great card, just a basic cheap card that will do basic photoshopping and web browsing. I'm also looking at an ATI 9600 AIW for my other comp. Although i'm still deciding whether to get the AIW or a Leadtek tv tuner for $50? Anybody know whether quality of one is much diff then the other? And is software that comes with AIW and Leadtek really very different?

You're saying the brand doesn't matter? On some of their specs, they don't match up with the official specs that are up on the ATI website for the same chipset. I also tend not to buy from ones who have crappy websites and shady specs that really don't tell you anything.

I'll be buying an HIS x800 from newegg. I've read good reviews from a new site, and I like a new company taking on the big boys.

I would go with HIS as well for their great cooling solutions (Artic cooling). Sapphire makes ATI cards by the way, so they are really the same card with a different hsf. They pump them out of the same factory and everything.
