In the second link, the image is much more clear and doesn't have the lighting problem with Nvidia cards in DX9. I have read on various forums that a lot of people are having this problem. If someone could link me to a place where it says an ATI driver has fixed this issue, I thank you, if not, here is the problem.

You can disable these things by turning down your graphics and setting a dxlevel of 8.1 no matter what card you have.That is good to know. Now if only de_nuke did not have this problem. Could you check A bombsite on nuke for me? Looking at the skylights and stuff. If you can, thanks a lot!
My really old PC plays L4D2 on medium-low compared to maxed-out on my current rig. Frankly speaking, you wouldn't really notice the difference in graphical quality if you are deeply engrossed playing the game and if the framerate is good enough.Playing on DX 8.1 wont look so great haha.
