I have a $400+ budget for a single card solution. I'm leaning towards RED for the first time! I have no experience with ATI/Partner cards. Could use some input for card selection:

Which 1950 Crossfire to pick?

X1900XT 256MB beat 7900GT at stock $230 to $260
X1900XT 512MB challenges the 7900GTX , both win some games $300 to $330
X1900XTX 512MB most of the benchmark beat 7900GTX $330 to $350
X1950XTX beats 7900GTX easy $420 - $450

Powercolor , Shapphire or Asus

Asus (usually overpriced where I live), Connect3D, Powercolor, HIS, and Sapphire are all good.

Just get the cheapest, they are all pretty much exactly the same reference design anyway.

I like to go with the ATI brand, but I wouldn't pay a price premium for it. ATI branded cards are reportedly made by Sapphire anyway.

In your case, I would probably go with the Powercolor. It's tied with the lowest price, and has a lifetime warranty.

Asus is overpriced like everywhere:! They go with same methodology as Apple and Sony.

They do make awesome cards and motherboards, you have to admit. Although, yeah, they're all terribly overpriced.

Well, their motherboards are IMO worth the premium typically, but for video cards not so much.

Yea, buying the Asus and ATI brand is assuring quality; but I can't justify the extra cash. Powercolor or Saphire. Thanks guys.

I'm excited about making the switch. I've been stuck on nVidia since the original Geforce.

Was leaning towards a x1900xt 256mb and a Zalman VF900, but the x1950xtx and it's superb stock cooling design won me over. That cooler design tells me ATI is listening, a big plus in my book.

We shouldn't have to void warranties on $350+ graphics cards just to make em' cooler and quieter...

Try Asus customer service, it's horrible. I'll never buy anything from them again.

Powercolor gets my vote, can't go wrong with lifetime warranty.
