Does anyone know how to force the ati multimedia center software to install on a laptop that has a firegl video card? I have an IBM T-41P and when I try to install the ATI MMC, the installer runs until it is done preparing the files, and then it aborts. I've tried every mmc version from 8.8 to the current 9.03, and they all do the exact same thing - the installer starts working and then it aborts with no error message.
ATI suggested I try an earlier version of MMC and pointed out that the MMC is not supported on firegl cards.
I have tried 2 IBM supplied vid drivers, the vid driver microsoft windows update provides, and the latest omega drivers (cat 4.12beta based) and it still does the exact same thing.
Maybe there is a command line or .ini file option to force it to ignore the chipset?
