I have a Del Inspiron 8100 and i'm trying to update the .6006 drivers to .6043's and everytime I uninstall the video driver...I restart and it automatically installs the same driver over again. People said you can cancel the MS Hardware auto-install...but I have tried and failed? Does anyone know what process to cancel for this? Or does anyone know a simpler way to install it...?

The radeon driver program says "This driver is not compatible with the video card on this system" (something to that affect) and I have tried starting up in VGA mode and all different kinds of things. Please help!

Well I am sorry that you have problem but I am glad that someone has exactly the same problem I had a week ago
So (suprise suprise) thre is another bug in ATI's drivers. I was trying to install RADEON 32 DDR on my Win 98 SE machine and I
couldn't. Tried for 3 hours then I quit.. went over to rage3d.com and downloaded their unofficial set which started to work right away.
Hope this will help you...

It's all in one executable. It searches for the driver in the first place, so I don't think that way will work. Thanks though! Anything else??
