My wife has a laptop with an i5, Win7 64bit, 4GB Memory and Radeon Mobility 5650. The Radeon is supposed to support DX11, it is supposed to have 1GB dedicated memory and also on paper LOOKS like it should've been a "decent" card, at least back at the time.
Big is my surprise when I built a temporary desktop PC from my old components and an ancient GTX 275 896MB which I had still laying around and entirely forgot about.
The GTX 275, although on paper having worse specs than the HD 5650 is at least twice as fast than the Mobility Radeon. For example in Heaven Benchmark, the Radeon merely gives a slideshow with 8-10 FPS in the first scene while the GTX has at least 25FPS. Also in games my wife plays, like SWTOR etc...the old GTX is constantly hitting 60FPS/Vsync so it's basically maxing out and runs smooth and this with 4xAA.
I am puzzled. I mean I know that mobile GPUs are not exactly performance monsters but I still think the radeon should be faster than the old GTX?
I also just deinstalled drivers on the notebook and installed the latest Omega drivers, but performance still as bad.
Edit: And yes the internal IGP is disabled.
