i think the hd2600 mobility is gddr2. most of them should be. they are more or less very similar to the pro version of the desktop card in terms of performance. the xt mobility i think is the only one with gddr3 memory (in most cases). same goes with most of the desktop hd2600 series. you can check the card memory specs using something like rivatuner. it should state the vid mem type at the main menu, under the Target adapter section.

Thanks. I know on ATI/AMD website it mentions both the XT and the regular as having either GDDR2/GDDR3.
