ATI MMC issues

I have recently installed the ATI MMC 9.08 software, in addition to the Catalyst 5.5 video drivers on my AIW 9800. Everything seems to be working okay, but I am getting some wierd violet colored numbers in the top right hand corner of the screen. It looks like a readout of the frames per second (FPS), but I'm not 100% sure. I also have the latest version of ATI Tray Tools installed for OC'ing my card. This is quite annoying and seems to affect performance of the video signal to some extent. Also, what is quite strange is if I open up any mpg video, whether it be in ATI's movie player or in Windows Media Player (I have version 9), it still shows those numbers. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
