I have Windows XP and got the latest mmc 9.13 from ATi's website. I have a 9600 pro AIW, and after installing the new mmc software, there was no toggle button for video on demand. It is now in the video on demand mode all the time, and I just want the straight broadcast video! Anyone else have this problem?

I have that problem as well as the scheduler failing. Per Ati's tech support I downloaded 9.08 it seems .13 has a lot of issues.

the schedule is a bit glitchy for me as well, and at the same time, while recording long segments the video gets choppy for some reason. I'll have a look at 9.08 again, hopefully itll solve some of my problems

yeah i do, i think thats normal. I downloaded 9.08 and it didnt work for me cause the TV didnt have any sound. I'm sticking with 9.13 for now with all its problems until I can find a better solution. Can anyone suggest an alternative to ATI MMC?

I think it's rotten that once again ATI has managed to miss the boat with regards to what the customer might want. I am seeing alot of people on the web who are unhappy with the inability to turn off VOD. The fact is, if you don't want it, you should be able to TURN IT OFF! I never use it, it wastes CPU cycles, thrashes my drive, and just plain warms up the box. Plus, I have a habit of having a couple of TVs going in the house, and the one using VOD is always out of sync audio-wise, causing a nasty echo that makes it impossible for me to follow the audio when moving between rooms! For those of us who don't want VOD, or only use it sometimes (like if your leaving the room for a bit), it's a no-brainer that you rather not use it. It's also why I took a pass on SnapStream.

I also 'upgraded' to MMC V9.08, so I can have back my preferred functionality. I was hoping that upgrading might allow me to explore what is going on with ATI and TitanTV, but no MMC upgrades until they fix this obvious mistake.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that my VOD doesn't work right anyway. The image goes about 1/2 speed, and I have to fiddle with settings to get it running at normal speed.

I can't remember what I did to get it working. I was frustrated, so after about 30 minutes
I restored my machine to the image I made JUST before messing with an ATI install - If your planning on taking a chance with ATI software, you better be backing up your system first - cause frankly ATI tends to be pretty sloppy with their software products, and only gets it right about one out of three upgrades/patches.

Also, VOD just does not look crisp and clear like live TV does. Live TV just looks better compared to any VOD implementation I have seen so far.
