Known Issues with the ATI MULTIMEDIA CENTER? 9.1
The following section provides information on known issues and product limitation for the ATI MULTIMEDIA CENTER? 9.1. These include the following:

Attempting to rotate the display two or more times while playing a DVD results in the DVD Player failing to respond
Enabling DVD audio through ATI Rage pass thru device results in choppy audio and video
Icons remain on the screen after a feature is triggered when using EAZYLAUNCH
Playing back recorded EAZYSHARE content through the Media Library on more than one client may cause erratic system behavior
Attempting to play a pre-recorded .VCR file with EAZYLOOK enabled results in only the audio being played back

Crossing my fingers...

[insert many expletives here]
Still gives me an error with an Nvidia video card. ATI's email tech support isn't doing much to help either.

All MMC versions are free downloads. The DVD decoders however will not be authorized with the AIW 7500 install CD, so if you want the DVD player...install ATI DVD 7.6 first (it will authorize with your install CD) and then install MMC 9.1 with a "custom" install and <uncheck> the DVD player, and it should work fine. btw..Don't forget the other required software.
Should be, it installed on my TV Wonder VE
It DID? It looked like you had an issue, how did you get it to install?

I myself had an issue after rebooting "Fatal Error: AtiSServ Registry Access Failed to Startup!" and it hung at Windows login. I had to start a new process "explorer" and windows loaded and MMC configured. I've had no chance to check things out yet, and I can't get back to it later today....I'll try and sort it out, I'd like to hear if anybody experiences any issues with the install.

Edit: Added "Fatal Error" to the error dialog I received after bootup.

It installed but when I fire up the TV app I get a "The TV player failed to initialize the video" error. I ran the PC check and the only things it flags are DMA not being enabled (because of the way Nvidia has their IDE controller drivers done and my SATA RAID) and the sound card clock not being stable (Audigy2 ZS, and 7.9-8.9 didn't flag this). I'm wading tech support's crap right now, just got my first email that asked for something I already told them out of 7 (2 were automatically generated).

I get that also, if the IDE drivers aren't MS, they don't recognise DMA being enabled. Neither of those errors would stop TV from working.

You installed the updated DAO / MDAC components and you have WME9 and DX9b installed?

Man, if I were ATI I would be in a big hurry to help you out with your Nvidia card. :D

I wouldn't turn down a free X800 XT PE that I could trade for a 6800 Ultra :p.

In device manager, are the ATI WDM divers listed under Sound, Video and Game Controllers? no conflicts?

Will installing ATI MMC 9.1 affect the TV player any? I have MMC 9.0 installed and I just got an ATi TV Wonder Pro Remote Edition. My problem is that it will not save the user PVR recording format. It always defaults to DIVX and I want to do WMV9 damn it!! Oh well, maybe 9.1 will fix it if it even includes the TV player. Also, I get a nasty echo when I record. It is not on the recorded video but even after I record, I have to restart the TV app just to get the nasty echo out. I figure maybe this is a problem that can be fixed with the options but I have not found out a solution.
