Ati low performance while recordMyDesktop captures (3870/4670...)

Hi
Has some Ati card user figured out how to capture screen under linux with recordMyDesktop.
I have tested:
1)HD3870 512Mb, C2D e4500, 8Gb 800Mhz, P35
2)HD4670 1Gb, C2D e7400, 2Gb 1066Mhz, P43
My CPU is allways close to 100% when capturing 1, 2, 5, 10, 15 fps. From Ubuntu forums someone told that Nvidia users don't have this problem.
Video-1 @1024x576 10fps
Video-2 (can't start firefox)@ 1440x896 10fps 5fps

I installed new driver (9.2). Nothing changed.
