ATI linux questions

I'm considering getting the ATI AIW 9600 Pro, but I'm not too sure about ATIs linux support. Will the TV functionality work? Will the remote? Are there any shortcomings I should know about? Friends of mine told me the 8500 radeon worked well, but no one knew if the 9600 pros would.
ATI does list linux drivers for 9600 (latest 10/8/2003) but nothing mentioning AIW.

Any bit of info would be much appreciated.
