I've got an MSI 785G motherboard that supposedly supports Hybrid Crossfire with an internal Radeon 4200.

However, I'm confused. This link: http://game.amd.com/us-en/crossfirex_hybrid.aspx

states you need Windows Vista. I've got Windows 7 Home Premium, will that be a problem?

Also, is hybrid crossfire worth it considering it's limited to the 3200 and 2400 series cards?

By worth it I mean bang for the buck: would I get more bang for the buck by buying a lower priced 3200 card and implementing hybrid crossfire, OR just spending more for a higher priced card in a higher series?

I don't game a lot. I'm currently considering buying and playing Dragon Age and looking at the specs, I'm not sure my integrated Radeon 4200 could handle it. Thus, I'm thinking about the next step (hybrid crossfire or just get a better vc).

Thanks!

Hybrid CF won't do you much good, and imo it's a bit of a hassle to get working.

You could try several things. Get a used 8800gt/9800gt, used HD 4830/HD 4850, or even a used 9600GT / HD 4670. All those cards will give decent eyecandy and fps in Dragon Age, for little money.

I see a 9600GT or HD 4670 512MB are roughly 60 dollars at newegg.com, those will do the trick. If you want to, there's one last option, and spend 140$ on a HD 5770, which will let you play all games out there at really high settings.
