ATI HDTV Wonder and cable

😕 I am totally confused. Forgive my ignorance, but I have one simple yes or no question. If I subscribe to my cable company's HDTV package and get their converter box, can it be hooked up to this card so that I get HDTV on my computer? I realize it doesn't decode cable's HDTV signal, but doesn't the converter box do that? If all this thing is good for is OTA, it's worthless IMHO.
 
Its an OTA card period on the DTV, you cannot get cable/satellite HD into your PC using HDTV Wonder. Its not worthless however IMO.
 
Thanks. I can get, tops, 4 HD channels off the air. And those are all local network affiliates. Who wants to watch that crap? That's if I'm lucky and the signal is strong enough where I live. I know $150 to $200 isn't much but I'm not much of a gambler. Too much of a crap shoot for me. I'll sit this one out.
