ATI HDTV Adapter users: get 1280x960i and more :)

Hi!
I've recently written a guide on setting up custom resolutions on the ATI HDTV Adapter whic a lot of people didnt know you could do! The vast majority of people are limited on resolutions, get virtual desktop and it can become fustrating...especially for gaming!

Well The guide I have made is at http://www.mrmicro.net/joshua1 and goes over getting 1280x960i, 1024x768 and 1280x1024 in a 1080i timing, 640x480 and 720x480 in a 540p timing to allow for absolutely no overscan and many many other tips.

I hope to pass the guide on to as many people as possible because this adapter is great when setup this way and has waaaaaaay better graphics than xbox, playstation 2 and many other consoles out there 🙂

I am eve working on a guide for setting up your DVD to obtain maximum image quality. For example on my setup I output the DVD to a 1080i resolution and use some post processing programs to clean and sharpen up the image quite a bit.

People who have the ATI HDTV adapter and are tired of playing games at 640x480

People who have the ATI HDTV adapter that want to play games that cant be set to 1776x1000i


What will this guide do:

allow you to play the vast majority of D3D Games at 1280x960i and 1280x1024i with no overscan

allow you to view 1024x768 underscanned (better than tremendously overscanned)

allow you to view 800x600 very slightly underscanned (for example the menus in Need For Speed hot Pursuit 2 are only availible at 800x600 and are overscanned so bad you cant navigate to play the game this remedys stuff like that 🙂 )

and eventually quite abit more information wil be added
