I have a MSI Twin HD7950 card. Was running fine under Windows 7. Decided to try Windows 8 this morning, and I now have the idle bug where the card won't downclock to 300/150. I've already tried uninstalling the drivers, and re-installing a clean version for Win 8 x64 from ATI's website.

Anyone have any solutions or experience this bug?

I have windows 8 and will be getting my gigabyte 7950 tomorrow, I can let you know how I fair then. However, with all the issues with my triple monitor setup and my 5850 downclocking to 157/300 I will almost be glad if it doesnt :p

I hate flicker.

I had the downclock bug and that was in windows 7,one game particularly did it but i believe it was more of a game issue then driver issue....overall i can't see why people are jumping on windows 8 already.

Ok...fully un-installed 12.10 and installed 12.9 beta drivers. Back to 300/150 downclocks.

im on 12.11/ windows 8 pro and my clocks fully downclock to 300/150

Tried 12.11. I have the same idle bug issue on BOTH Win7 and 8 with those drivers. Apparently ATI has reproduced the idle bug issue with 12.11, and are in process of trying to correct it.
