Hi Guys,
I currently have an I7 System with a gigabyte UD4P motherboard & a Sapphire 4870 with two proview monitors attached to it, now I would like to buy a samsung 23" HD monitor to attach it to my 4870 & a cheap pci-x card like the HD4650 to connect my two proview monitors.

PS,
Since I am on a tight budget & I do not need to run my system in crossfire mode. I use my system mainly for music production, graphic & 3d designing & motion graphics & sometimes I play GTA IV every once in a while, but I am not into gaming that much.

My question is, will the 4870 & 4650 work well together? Or is it better to buy another 4870 for a more stable work flow?

If you don't need CrossFire, just get a HD4350 :) I bought one recently - has passive cooling and two DVI ports (and 1GB of RAM haha!) - does everything I expect it to do. And it will work just fine with a HD4870 as your primary, gaming card. Just be sure to attach the monitor you'll be playing on to the HD4870.

thanks very much for your help.. I posted on alot of forums and came out with little or no info.. yesterday I checked for an HD4350 but wasnt sure if it was compatible with my 4870. I will go for it and hook it to my proview monitors for my sound production work & leave the 4870 for gaming & graphic work..

Thanks Again! :)

You can only use one driver at a time. (from the same manufacturer, ie one ATI, one Nvidia, etc) so, both cards have to be able to work off the same driver.
